La religión y los santos locales, por ejemplo, Concepción se relaciona con el granizo (chhijchhi), y el Niño San Salvador representado en una piedra es protector de los males (layqa). Las iglesias fueron construidas sobre sitios sagrados (wak’a). Tiwanaku es considerado un sitio sagrado de rituales donde piden conocimiento y suerte. SPANISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa habla con Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold de los siguientes temas: 1. Los alimentos (manq’aña) en que cada alimento cuenta con tres espíritus: animu, janayu y ajayu. La papa (ch’uqi) es considerada la madre (tayka) y existen diferentes clases (kasta): papa person (jaqi ch’uqi) que es varón, papa niña (imilla ch’uqi), papa gris (uqi jaqi ch’uqi), papa negra (chiyar jaqi ch’uqi) y otros. En relación con el maíz (paq’ula), el grano es el espíritu (ajayu) y el corazón o centro (thuru) es el janayu. Hay diferentes clases: El maíz amarillo (q’illu chacha) y el maíz blanco (janq'u warmi). Con el trigo (tiriwu) para hacer pan hay dos clases: negro (chiyar) y blanco (janq’u). La arveja (ch’uqall mamala) y la oca (apilla) tienen tres espíritus. En relación con la papalisa (lisasa) hay tres clases: rojo (wila), granizado (chhijchhi o marka chulita) y papalisa (ulluka). La quinoa (jupha) es de dos clases (kasta). 2. Señala que la puerta de la casa se debe construir al lado donde sale el sol (inti jalsu). 2. Las libaciones o ch'alla que se hacía para los lugares de pastoreo y descanso de los animales de rebaño. 3. Las libaciones para la casa como el nido del Cóndor y el Halcón (Kuntur Maman Tappa). 4. Las peleas (ch’axwa) en el que decapitan el enemigo como una expresión de triunfo, superioridad, fuerza y espíritu. 2. Las peleas anteriores (nuwasiña) en el fútbol entre comunidades y su desaparición después de la Reforma Agraria. El rito de los jóvenes una piedra en forma de persona, llamada ch’aku yuqalla. 3. El por qué quitan la cabeza del enemigo, por el pensamiento y las ideas. 4. Comenta de los consejos que se puede dar a la gente de Qaqachaka y al ayllu Jukumani para detener las peleas que perjudican a las comunidades aledañas, luego, 5. SPANISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa continúa a conversar con Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold acerca del matrimonio: 1. La aparición del matrimonio (jaqichasiña kasarasiña) que surge por el esposamiento de Tata Riyu y Mama Riya. Antes, el varón era llamado Awki wiraqucha y a la mujer Tayka siñurita, pero ahora se llama Paris paluma o bien Awki niñu y Awki niña. 2.Que los términos que usaban para los padrinos en el pasado, de tata pari y mama mari. 3. Para la boda, el padrino se encarga de todo el atuendo de sus ahijados (wawa k’iru) desde que ingresa a la iglesia hasta que termine la celebración. El padrino también entrega en la iglesia el lazo o la cadena, el anillo, las arras (el dinero de la minería de tiempo de Patiño), las velas, dos a cada uno, y la entrega de doce pesos. 4. Explica que el anillo y la cadena en el Tiempo de los Gentiles estaba hecho del cuerno de la vaca rojo y blanco, y que recientemente existe el anillo de metal. Explica por qué ponen el anillo y las libaciones a la cadena y al anillo. 5. Describe el atuendo de los padrinos para celebrar la boda. 6. Explica que él reconoce los pasos de los que están casados y de los solteros. 7. Que en la boda, la distribución de la comida se la realiza siempre con las dos manos, primero a los padrinos, luego a los novios y a los invitados, y reparten dos comidas a cada uno siempre en par, y 8. SPANISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa habla con Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold de los siguientes temas: 1. Describe el omaso o librillo (liwru) que tienen algunos animales como parte del estómago. Por medio de este librillo piensan y se dan cuenta. Cuando se encuentran en peligro, maneja las 12 filas de su librillo. Los animales con el omaso son las vacas, las ovejas y los cabritos. Las mulas y los burros no tienen el librillo y por eso no se consume su carne. 2. Hay el librillo de las personas y de ahí se origina el buen pensamiento (lup’iña). 3. Explica el uso del librillo de los animales para dirigirse a algún lugar. Los animales llegan a entristecerse porque saben lo que le pasara. 4. Comenta de las llamas en el cielo que da la fuerza a las llamas de la tierra, enviando su espíritu. Su orín hace caer desde el cielo y es como semilla que se convierte en sal. Los animales de los incas son el venado (taruka), el zorro, el gato silvestre (michi). 5. Habla de los cantos de las mujeres a las llamas en el que menciona a los pastos, al agua (ch’urmuña), y al llama guía (irpiri). Ese canto es para que las llamas tengan bonitas fibras. En el rito de marcar a los animales (k’illpha) las marcas se realizan sobre una manta femenina (awayu) y a los animales se les cubren de una manta para que los animales nazcan con mucha fibra (t’arwa). 6. Los diferentes tipos de señales a los animales son para su reproducción (mira kasta). 7. Explica la relación que tiene la mujer con las llamas de color negro. Es la señal del inca y su fibra no necesita ser teñida, y 8. Menciona las canciones a los tambos y los trabajos que tenían que realizar durante tres meses trasladando a los criollos (q’ara) en mula porque aún no había automóviles. En la Canción a la Mula menciona la bosta que dejan en los caminos que es usado como combustible y el sonido de las patas cuando se trasladan de un lugar a otro.<br>ENGLISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa talks to Juan de Dios Yapita and Denise Y. Arnold about the following topics: 1. He describes the omasum or booklet (liwru) that some animals have as part of the stomach. SPANISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa es entrevistado por Juan de Dios Yapita y Denise Y. Arnold sobre los siguientes temas: 1. La casa (utachasa) y hacer las libaciones o ch’alla en que deben participar todos los familiares. Los recién casados deben vivir por tres años en la casa de los padres. Luego con la formación de un nuevo hogar (mä utata aysuta) que reúne a las familias de la mujer y el hombre (warmi kasta, chacha kasta) se realizan libaciones para que no exista peleas (ch’axwaku o nuwasiña) en su hogar. Algunas familias llegan a tener doce hijos (tunkapän wawa) que, al crecer, se van para casarse, por eso hacen libaciones para el jefe de familia (p’iqin uta), para la madre de la casa (mama uta) y para el espíritu de la casa (Kuntur Mamani). El apellido es considerado una solo rama familiar que cuenta con acceso a las parcelas en común (ayanuqa o aynuqa). 2. Habla sobre el embarazo y que somos la sangre de la madre (tayka wilapati). La sangre recibe la semilla (wila katuki) para procrear. Los niños que nacen de pie son personas que lo que dicen se cumple, incluyendo la maldición. Las mujeres tras el parto inician su alimentación con pito, mote (ch'uqi tunqu), arveja y haba (jawasa) que es también consumido tostado (jamp’iña) y el consumo de carne (aycha manq’aña) en sopa. 3. Dice que el cuerpo humano es hecho de barro (ñiq’i) por el Padre Sol (Tata Inti) y él comenta sobre Adán (Arana). 4. The house (utachasa) and making the libations or ch'alla where all the relatives must participate. The newlyweds must live for three years in the parents' house. De las constelaciones o la agrupación de estrellas (wara wara) que forman el Río Grande (Jach'a Jawira) de la Vía Láctea que se mueve durante el año. 2. Comenta la discusión que tuvo con una persona evangélica sobre el baile llamado mit’ani. Lo relaciona con un grupo de estrellas en el cielo, de la Pachamama que proporciona la comida y el espíritu de los animales. 3. La devoción a los cerros quienes se encargan de cuidar a la gente del lugar. El baile mit’ani es también llamado "ojos de una joven" (imill wawa layra) y tiene una forma circular como una ronda. 4.
