On the right-hand side, it's possible to see teh hotel known as Azizi Boja and further ahead on the top-right-end side the photography studio known as Bakor Studio.

Kijana aliyekaa karibu nyuma karibu na ukuta anaitwa Hassan Katan na kijana mwingine anaitwa Salim Bin Hamin. Vijana hawa walipitia mara kwa mara kwa duka la mkate na kwa njia hii walijuana na Ustadh Mau na walizoea kukaa naye dukani. Juu ja kimeza nyuma ya Ustadh Mau kuna keki tayari na wakati huo huo wao watatu wanatengeneza biscuti za katai. ENGLISH: Ustadh Mau is preparing queen cupakes and cookies at the bakery with the help of two friends from the school now called Lamu island Girls Secondary School. The boy sitting close to the wall is Hassan Kahtan and the other boy is Salim Bin Hamin. The two boys used to stop by and got to know Ustadh Mau and spending time with him at the bakery. On the small table behind Ustadh Mau, queen cupcakes are lying while the three of them are preparing cookies.

Description:: SWAHILI: Huyu ni marehemu babake ya Ustadh Mau jina lake Ahmed Abdulkadir. Kwenye picha yuko pamoja na wajukuu wake kutoka mtoto wake wa kike Rabia: Abdulaziz (mtoto anayesimama karibu naye) na Fatma (mtoto wa kike anayembeba). Ahmed Abdulkadir alikuwa mtoto wa mwisho ingawa alitangulia kufariki kwa sababu ya ugonjwa wa afya (1915-1971). ENGLISH: This is Ustadh Mau's father Ahmed Abdulkadir with his grandchildren from his daughter Rabia: Abdulaziz (the boy standing on his right-hand side) and Fatma (the girl in his arms). Ahmed Abdulkadir was the last born but passed away earlier due to healthy problems (1915-1971).
