Description:: Conical kettle drums. The larger left hand drum is played with a curving stick, which applies pressure to the drumhead, varying its pitch. The smaller right hand drum is played with a straight stick. These drums are usually played by devotees during rituals to the goddess Mahalaxmi. The drums are tied together and around the waist of the player for ease of access.
