- Krishna Pārijāta is a Kannada folk drama form of northern Karnataka, an enactment of the folk tale about Lord Krishna, his two wives, and the magical parijat tree, that is typically performed upon invitation by the Holeya community at festivals. This is an arranged performance, an excerpt of 13 songs, by the Mallava Megeri Krishna Pārijāta Company. According to artist and facilitator Chandrakanta Kusanoor, it was created by a Muslim playwright. The main performers are Mallava Megeri (troupe leader), Mallakajappa Mallappa Gaddankeri (Krishna), and Gudusab Nadat Khajidoni. Accompanying musicians are Krishnaji Varad Tulasigiri (tablā), Hanamant Mastar (hmnm / harmonium with foot pump), and Ramanna Sonshi (taal).
