At center, the U.S.S. Idaho sails through the water. It is viewed from its port side. Crew members crowd its upper deck. Gun turrets rise above them at center and face aft. At right, along the stern, it reads, "IDAHO."

A similar photograph of the U.S.S. Idaho is captioned, "Greatest Fighting Machine Joins Naval Forces Here: U.S.S. Idaho pictured entering San Pedro roadstead on return from $14,000,000 overhaul at Norfolk navy yard. As result of the modernization, embodying the latest developments in armament and machinery, the dreadnaught is declared to be the most efficient capital ship in any navy.
