Notes
- Description
-
Lester Shaw stands on the boardwalk holding firecrackers. He wears a hat and stands in front of a sign with chalk writing on it. A hat with a wide brim is visible just above the sign. At the left, there is a covered patio with people sitting on it. American flags fly from the roof of the patio. Men and women walk on the boardwalk in the background. There is a sign that reads, "bathing water bath."
Based on the dates, the boy is more likely Lester Shaw rather than Romayne. Lester and Romayne were Mertie Whitaker's nephews. Mertie Whitaker became H. H. West's second wife in the 1920's.
