- This folio belongs to the Iyar-i Danish manuscript that was housed in Bharat Kala Bhavan located in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India at the time of photography in 1988. Iyar-i danish translates to 'Touchstone of Wisdom’ and derives from Panchatantra, the collection of Sanskrit animal fables. This copy of the manuscript was painted around 1596-97 CE (AH 1005) with watercolour pigment on paper in Mughal style. It was painted in present day Lahore, Punjab province in Pakistan. This folio is the work of artist Lacchman. The dimensions of the object are 24.8 (H) x 13.7 (W) cm. The museum number of the object at the time of photography was 9069/19.
